Pakistani hackers defaced more than 2000 Indian websites on Republic Day

pak_hackOn the Republic day of India ( Jan 26th), Pakistani hackers defaced a total of 2,118 Indian websites, including one of the major bank  Central Bank of India and the website of model Poonam.

Ms. Pandey’s hacked website,  identified as “Team Madleets”, displayed messages like “Pakistan Zindabad.”  and raised the Kashmir issue as per TOI. The actual identity of the hacker,  ‘Haxor 99’ if yet to be determined, but the IP address has been traced to Pakistan.

Cyber security experts in Bangalore said most of the Indian websites had been defaced by Pakistani hackers going with the handle “StrikerRude”, “KashmirCyberArmy”, “PakCyber Expert”, “HUnter Gujar” and the Operation was named as “#OP26jan”.

So far no reports are available about the loss of data nor any sensitive information which might have stolen in this breach. But the coming years seems to change a lot in the India security industry as such attacks are becoming more prevalent in the recent days.
